Our Gulf Coast region has more veterans than any other area in the country. We are always striving to do more for our veteran students, but we can’t do this alone. We need your help to give our local veterans the support they deserve.
San Jacinto College is committed to serving the men and women who served our country. We maintain three Veteran Success Centers and honor veterans on four walls of honor. We raise funds to maintain the centers which offer everything from admissions and career assistance, to printing services and a quiet place to study with others who served. Our goal is to raise $50,000 per year to maintain the centers for our Veterans.
Our veterans can arrive on campus with physical, mental, and emotional scars. Adjusting to civilian life is a challenge for many. That is why we built the Veteran Centers. With trained experts, these centers help guide our veterans through academic and professional hurdles they face as they begin their educational journey. We also connect students with people and resources in the community who can help with other personal needs, such as counseling. With a Veteran Center located on three campuses, help is never far away.
Four Veteran Centers have a Wall of Honor to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our Country. Please consider honoring a family member or a loved one through the purchase of a name plate. The cost is $250 per plate which includes the engraving of name, rank and branch of service. Your contribution will not only honor a veteran, it also will help a veteran student achieve their dream. All donations are applied to the Veteran Student Success Fund.
