PASADENA, Texas — San Jacinto College has moved its spring commencement online. The ceremony was originally postponed from May to August due to COVID-19 and will now take place virtually.

"We know this is not how the class of 2020 planned to celebrate their graduation, but due to COVID-19 concerns, we had to make the decision to transition our ceremony online," said Dr. Brenda Hellyer, San Jacinto College Chancellor. "We invite all of our graduates, along with their friends and families, to gather online to honor and celebrate their achievements from the safety and comfort of their home."

The August 7 virtual ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. and will be livestreamed on YouTube. Each graduate will be recognized with their photo and credential information, and the ceremony will include remarks from Chancellor Hellyer and other College leaders.
