Sixteen San Jacinto College student-athletes have been named to National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic teams, the organization announced.
The following student-athletes were named to the first team with a 4.0 GPA: Harrison Bouthilette; Maggie Evans; Kylie Hernandez; Keegan Knuston; Mia Mcleer; Kristina Nash; Kieper Pate; and Emma Pierce.
NJCAA All-Academic second team honors went to Anthony Diaz and Arriana Wright. Student-athletes named to the second team maintained a GPA of 3.80 to 3.99.
Third team All-Academic honors were awarded to: Kiren Diaz; Ruben Diaz; Ka’ola Holt; Mack Mabrey; Zack Mack; and Iliana Melendez. Student-athletes who earned a GPA of 3.60 to 3.79 were eligible for third-team honors.
The San Jacinto College softball team earned Softball Academic Team of the Year honors for maintaining a collective 3.36 GPA.
“We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their commitment to their academics and athletics this past year,” said Dr. Allatia Harris, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives at San Jacinto College.
